I’m the founder and CEO of an online insurance platform that does online quoting.


What challenge were you trying to address with East & West Inc?

I went to them to build my website.


What was the scope of their involvement?

East & West Inc designed and developed my website. They did research to come up with the best user flow, and they consulted me on what content should be on the site. They’ve designed, implemented, and managed social media campaigns. Their team has done a lot of backend integrations with different tools. We’re all virtual, and we have a lot of tools connected with our backend.

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with one person from East & West Inc. I don’t know how many people they have assigned, but I understand that there are design, development, and marketing teams in place.

How did you come to work with East & West Inc?

I came across an ad that they ran on social media. I signed up for it, and one of their members called me for a demo. I was very impressed with what they could do. I remember getting a lot of offers at the time, some of which were better in terms of pricing, but I went with East & West because they showed a lot of flexibility. They could accommodate anything I wanted and understood my needs. I felt that East & West Inc could bring huge value to my company.

How did East & West Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication style has been smooth and easy. I’ve communicated everything to a single point of contact, and he has presented everything. I found it very convenient. Everything I’ve asked for was done right away. I’ve had to change needs and timelines, and they managed to implement the website with a lot of things that were out of scope. Their team took ownership of the project and made me feel that they were my partner and wanted to see my company succeed. Whenever something urgent came up, they did it as soon as possible. It would take two days at most, which was great. We communicate through email, phone calls, and text. We have weekly meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve worked with a lot of service providers, and the main issue was always not delivering the quality they promised, which would usually lead a lot of back and forth. They understood what I wanted, and they knew exactly what they were doing. Their team delivered a great product in the end. The second aspect is their time management and commitment to timelines. They have always finished within the deadlines they set. I haven’t found this with any other service provider. I also appreciate their flexibility in adapting to my needs. A lot of service providers wouldn’t change the way they worked with me or the initial agreement. I changed the scope after I made an agreement with them, and they accommodated me. Other providers would’ve charged me or terminated the contract.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We’re a startup that makes a lot of changes. They never said no to anything. I think that this eventually led to pressure on their side. It didn’t affect their work quality, but it put a lot of stress on them. Something they could do differently is to stand up to clients like me.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is not to be scared to work with them. They’re fair, worth every penny the client pays and makes things right.
