I’m the president of Mymedia Inc, an organization that helps companies communicate with visual display hardware. We deal with anything with digital displays from large video walls to handheld devices. We also integrate and create our own software.


What challenge were you trying to address with East & West Inc?

We branched off and developed a visitor management system in 2016. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit, we pivoted this system into a health screening and temperature scanning system because there was a big demand for it. Our company wanted to capitalize on this opportunity and get our message out there as soon as possible. Given that, we did Google Ads in the past, but we never truly saw great results. As a result, we hired East & West to highlight the things we weren’t doing correctly. Then, they made a proposal on how we could do our campaigns more effectively.


What was the scope of their involvement?

We wanted East & West to help us get better results out of our Google Ads campaign. Their team helped us define our message and target demographics to hit more people with less money. In other words, we needed them to laser-focus our efforts and get more conversions. Moreover, our previous ad efforts were too broad, like spraying bullets without knowing what the target was. To give us more effective messaging, East & West helped us develop multiple landing pages with 6–7 flavors of messages that had good continuity. Using this revamped messaging, we targeted keywords that led users to different landing pages. East & West also gave us directions on how we could harness the benefits of LinkedIn. At present, they monitor our efforts and address any deficiencies or ideas we might have. We have consultations once a month as they coach us on what to do. Our team doesn’t have the funds to let East & West do all the work since we’re a small company, so we simply ask them to tell us what we’re doing wrong and coach the whole team, including me.

We primarily work with Al-Janabi (CEO). He’s our main point of contact, and his team executes strategies behind the scenes.

How did you come to work with East & West Inc?

We’d been looking around for a provider for a while when I came across East & West through a networking event. Then, we had a conversation about my company’s pain points. They understood those pain points and advised us on how we could fix them. After that, we decided to partner with them for this campaign.

How did East & West Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

In terms of PPC metrics, the results aren’t immediate. It takes time for Google to show such results. However, we’ve already started seeing actual conversions, and we’re constantly building upon the success we’ve had. Prior to engaging East & West, leads didn’t come to us at the rate that we wanted. Now, not only do we see conversions; we also know which campaigns are working and which ones are not. On top of that, we’ve gained great results and traction on LinkedIn, although they’re not on the same level of success as we have in Google Ads, and this is simply because LinkedIn is more expensive.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their project management skills are great in terms of identifying our problems, telling us how to fix them, and providing an estimate of when we can expect results. To me, every project is about defining expectations and deliverables, and East & West is extremely professional in those areas. They even have clear charts around when leads should start coming. To communicate, we use Trello.

Are there any areas they could improve?

East & West can understand our buyers and their pain points. They can get in the heads of our would-be customers and craft content based on that. This has changed the way we approach our landing pages and messaging. In other words, their team doesn’t only help us navigate Google Ads well; they also help us shape our value proposition messaging in a better way.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be prepared to work harder. It’s like going to the gym with a trainer: you have to be there and work hard. You can let them do all the work, but that costs more money. As such, if you’re engaging them, be serious and ready to work with them. Likewise, be willing to tweak your messaging; be open to different ideas and suggestions. You may be hesitant at first, but try to go with their recommendations.
